Babe,
Well, you’ve finally made it to 30. When I met you and you were just a 22 year old pile of muscle and hair, I had no idea of the amazing man who was standing before me. Giving you a chance was the best decision I was ever forced to make by others.
You have accomplished so much in 30 years. You’ve lived a life that many would envy...a full and abundant life in the Spirit characterized by love, laughter, and lots of obedience to your Heavenly Father. He has blessed you according to His Word, and it is such an amazing thing to watch you continue to grow in favor with Him and other people.
Your love for God, life, family and friends is humbling. You have always encouraged me to be genuine in my own, and watching you challenges me daily to continue to strive for all God has for me in my own relationship with Him, my family and friends.
3 beautiful daughters before 30. You are so blessed and I am so thankful to be on this crazy and sometimes difficult parenting journey with someone who is willing to give up his own desires, comfort, time and energy to give to our family. Thank you for stepping up how you do to raise our girls to know and love the Lord and walk in his ways.
As a leader in the church, I have seen you traverse through some difficult times with a grace that most people could only hope for. The way you handle yourself in the midst of both trials and triumphs clearly shows the world Whom you are living for.
I thank God for bringing you to my life. He knew exactly who I needed, and I am amazed at what a great job He did in picking out my husband. I could not be prouder to be your wife. You are a joy to live with, an awesome friend, and an incredible lover. Thank you for continuing to pursue me after 6.5 years of marriage as relentlessly as you did when we were dating.
In thirty more years, you’ll be 60. I wonder what I’ll write you to you then. Our life, so full of wonderful memories already, will be a treasure chest of precious experiences, and I want to savor each one as it comes.
Happy birthday, my love.
Joyfully yours,
Coley
