Brandon,
Life started with you struggling to breath. Night after night I kept watch and wrestled with the devourer who wanted to take you from me. As you matured, every thing I thought I knew about parenting with John was not working on you. You were very strong willed. You were too smart for me to out reason. I resorted to proving to you that my will was stronger than yours. It was not an easy task. You made me a more determined and deliberate person. I learned perseverance because you tested me to my limits. In time I began to teach you. You loved learning and soaked up everything I dished out and begged for more. I shared with you what the Lord was teaching me, and you grew even as I was growing in HIM. For some years when you were older, you were not only my child, but had matured and become my friend. But the day came whe the Lord said to me, "cut the apron strings and let me have him."
So now, when I think of you, I remember how blessed I am because you are my son, a man after God's own heart. No doubt you will catch him....Love MOM
